Due to the sheer number of University students’ interest in playing soccer, the Department of Sports and Games has registered three soccer teams in the on going Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Nairobi branch league. These teams are UON FC A, UON FC B and the UON CAVS FC. The teams are doing pretty well in this league.

Further, the Department has planned for an internal league to be played at UON main campus grounds comprising of Faculty of Arts, School of Law, College of Architecture and Engineering, College of Biological and Physical sciences teams. The main aim of the league is for recreational purposes, competitiveness among different University Colleges/campuses and to identify the finest players to join the ongoing Nairobi Branch FKF League.

In 2016, the DVC (Student Affairs) donated three main rotational trophies for such leagues .The teams will be competing for these trophies as the ultimate price for the winners. These trophies are for positions 1, 2 and 3 respectively.

The league will commence on 30th June 2018.The league will run for about three months. We appeal to all staff and students to come forward and support /cheer a team of their choice as we commence this noble exercise.
