FEAR reinforces boredom, loneliness, anger and resistance to change. It places us in isolation; creates enmity amongst us and robs us of a brighter future. We become more defensive and build walls of protection. We become envious of successful people and begin to breed hatred in us. Excuses and blames becomes the norm making us fall way behind. Eventually, the fires in our guts are extinguished. But there is hope.

Start understanding your fear. Learn from it. Face it and have the belief to overcome it.

Jiddu Krishnamurti said “What is needed, rather than running away or controlling or suppressing any other resistance, is understanding fear; that means, watch it, learn about it, come directly into contact with it. We are to learn about fear, not how to escape from it.”

The soul is a powerful source of love. Love is the light for truth. Delve deeper into your soul, harvest love and let it lead. Accept it as your being and see how quickly your shadows and skeletons start to fade. The heart opens, eyes brighten and you glow. You give thought, you become compassionate, you accept your weakness and you build gradually, conquering your fear. Your self-confidence gains a boost.

“Once we have a firm practice of compassion our state of mind becomes stronger which leads to inner peace, giving rise to self-confidence, which reduces fear. This makes for constructive members of the community. Self-centeredness, on the other hand, leads to distance, suspicion, mistrust and loneliness, with unhappiness as the result.” Dalai Lama

Fear is easy to build and it does so rapidly. Letting go is difficult as the unknown is always a risk. Being true to your inner self is the key to overcoming fear. It is not an easy step but it is a step nonetheless. Stand firm and take that step.
