Could it be the first single from Em’s next album?

New music from Eminem and Pink is on the way, according to Detroit’s Mojo In The Morning radio show on Channel 955. In a recent broadcast, it was reported that Tony Travatto, Senior VP/Programming iHeartMedia/Michigan, had heard a new song from Eminem and Pink that was set to be released in the near future. “I’m gonna tell you guys something crazy,” said one of the hosts. “Our boss Tony Travatto just came back from New York City where he was hanging out with his peeps. He says that there’s a new Eminem/Pink song coming out that he said is unbelievable. He said he got a chance to be one of the first to hear it, and it will be coming out here very very soon.”

There have recently been a lot of rumors flying about Eminem’s long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2A report earlier this month suggested that the rapper’s 9th studio album would arrive as early as this fall, while an interview with The Defiant Ones director Allen Hughes revealed that Dr. Dre was working on music for an upcoming Eminem project.

Given these clues, it’s quite possible that this reported Eminem and Pink song could be the first single from Marshall’s next album. Then again, there’s still the possibility that Eminem is featured on Pink’s next single rather than the other way around.

Eminem’s last solo release was the 8-minute standalone track “Campaign Speech” in 2016. Earlier this year, he appeared on Big Sean‘s “No Favors” from the fellow Detroit rapper’s fourth studio album I Decided. Last we heard, Eminem was working with 2 Chainz on some new material. Em recently released some Camp Shady merch on his online shop, which may or may not be an indication of the album’s direction.

Eminem and Pink first collaborated on “Won’t Back Down” on 2010’s Recovery. They later reunited on Pink’s “Here Comes The Weekend” from The Truth About Lying. Pink’s upcoming seventh studio album Beautiful Trauma is due out October 13th.

We recently broke down everything we know and want from Eminem’s next LP, which includes a feature from Detroit up-and-comer Tee Grizzley and an embrace of “dad rap” a la 4:44.
