The Last Days of American Crime has been added to the infamous list of scoring 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. This basically means none of the reviews received is positive.
The new entrant joins the likes of 2018’s John Travolta-starring Gotti and Adam Sandler’s 2015 western comedy The Ridiculous 6 on the list of 0% Rotten Tomatoes movies.
Critical comments about The Last Days of American Crime so far include “instantly forgettable tough-guy fantasia”, “not even good alligator-brain cinema” and “the real crime is that this movie even exists in the first place”. Ouch.
The Last Days of American Crime was released on June 5, 2020, so there’s still time for a positive review to be posted on the site, which would push the movie’s rating up. It also has a 21% audience score, so there’s hope for some better reviews to come.
Based on Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini’s 2009 graphic novel of the same name, The Last Days of American Crime focuses on career criminal Graham Bricke (Édgar Ramírez) as he struggles to get back in the game since the death of his brother Rory (Daniel Fox) in a robbery.
Seeking revenge against those responsible for his brother’s loss he teams up with fellow criminals Kevin Cash (Michael Pitt) and Shelby Dupree (Anna Brewster) to plan a huge heist, racing against the clock before a mysterious government-made signal threatens to put a stop to all crime for good.
