Menengai Oilers and Homeboyz RFC needed last-minute efforts to sail through to Sepetuka 7s cup semis on Sunday at the Eldoret Sports club.
Homeboyz beat Nakuru RFC 17-14 while Menengai Oilers took the game to extra time to beat Kenya Harlequins 24-19.
Oilers and Quins had drawn 19-19 at the end of the second half before the Kabeberi 7s losing finalists landed a try immediately after kick-off.
Impala Saracens booked a place in the semis running three tries to beat Western Bulls 15-0 while Kabras Sugar beat KCB 15-12.
Impala will play Homeboyz in the first semi before Kabras Sugar takes on Menengai Oilers in the second encounter.
Nakuru RFC dropped to Plate semis where they will play Western Bulls as Quins take on KCB.
Nondies, Makueni RFC, Catholic Monks and MKU Thika have been relegated ahead of the next round, Christie 7s after losing their challenge quarterfinals ties.
Nondies lost 35-14 to Machine, Catholic went down 19-17 to Strathmore Leos, Makueni lost 26-5 to Mwamba while MKU Thika lost 31-10 to Blak Blad.
