Optiven Group has just reopened its Entertainment facility at Kitengela viz GMC Fun Place. The facility was closed on 23rd March 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic.

The reopening is now accentuated by a brand new half Olympic-size commercial pool viz The Oasis Blue Sky Pool. This is a commercial, fully solar-powered heated swimming pool that will be a great place for families that want to enjoy a warm swim. This swimming pool has a 300- seater double Grandstand and Sun Decks that have been designed for comfortable sun-basking.

The event was graced by the Deputy Governor Kajiado County Hon. Martin Moshisho Martine, who was accompanied by Mr George Wachiuri, Optiven Group CEO amongst other top dignitaries.

This development will be a big boost to the straggling tourism industry in Kenya due to effect of Covid-19.

The reopening is a relief to over 100 employees who work in this establishment that seats on a total of 8.5 acres of land, adjoining the busy Namanga Road, just before Acacia Junction.

“This facility has seen over Ksh300 million of investment directed towards Children Entertainment amenities, the establishment of a dozen VIP meeting rooms, state-of-the-art events/Wedding GMC Grounds that seats on an exclusive one-acre field, the brand new Oasis Blue Sky Pool, parking capacity of 300 cars, conference facilities among other features. This is also inclusive of the cost of this 8.5-acre land,” says Optiven Group CEO.

The project is funded by Equity Bank, which has continued supporting the tourism industry in Kenya.

The Opening of GMC FUN Place will be a big boost to job creation and will encourage more facilities to open as long as the adherence to the laid down MOH guidelines.
