You’re probably aware that university students are pretty tired of the current 2-month-plus lecturers strike and it seems for Kenyatta University students, not even the lecturers union will keep them out of class.

Kenyatta University Student leaders have taken to local dailies to warn UASU from interfering with learning which the administration directed should resume today.

“We dare the UASU members to come and disrupt studies they will find us ready waiting for them,” one of the student leaders said.

They also called upon other university student leaders to mobilize students and resume studies as UASU goes on striking saying; “We are not telling UASU to stop striking let them not interfere with our studies,”

The Vice-Chancellor Paul Wainaina said individual lecturers had agreed to resume teaching.

This comes at a time when the University staff academic staff Union (UASU) have maintained that the strike is still on.
