On Friday, president Uhuru Kenyatta appointed new heads and board members to head various parastatals. In his list of appointees, Chris Musando’s widow Ms Eva Buyu was among the people the president thought about, she was appointed as a member of the Export Processing Zones Authority board for three years.
The list that comprises most of the politicians who lost in the last General Election, included Ekwee Ethuro who will serve as the Chairman of the Higher Education Loans Board for a period of five years
Issack Hassan, the former electoral and boundaries chairperson has been appointed as the chairperson of the Kenya Industrial Institute for three years while Moses Akaranga ex vihiga county governor will head the Board of Trustees of the National Environment Trust Fund for three years.
Others include Jackson Mandago chairperson Sony sugar, lawyer Mugambi Imanyara Kenya industrial board, Faith Waigwa chairperson Procurement Administrative Review Board.
NASA former CEO Norman Magaya has been appointed to serve in the Kenya Film Classification Board.
Chairman of The National Museums of Kenya was given to David Musila who is former Kitui senator.
Former Wundanyi MP Thomas Mwadeghu to serve in the board of the unclaimed Financial Assets Authority.
Former University of Nairobi student leader David Osiany has been appointed to serve in the board of Chemelil Sugar Company for a period of three years.
And lastly Mr Kisoi Munyao has been appointed to serve on the Export Processing Zones Authority board for three years.
The gazette notice says the appointments are to notice take effect from 20th of September.
