Technical University of Mombasa students have given the government three days ultimatum to end the higher education crisis. Led by their students’ leaders, they have threatened to force the closure of the institution should their demands not be met.
TUM’s new development is an addition to other groups of students from Egerton and the University of Nairobi who had threatened to paralyse activities should the government fail to honour the 2013 CBA.
A move that will add more pressure to the government, with the ongoing KMPDU strike that has received support from medical students. The students have threatened to hold demonstrations to push the government to agree with the striking doctor’s demands.
