The sad reality is we don’t even know this is a thing. You know how when you have a cold and quickly either run to the chemist and grab celestamine, or if you’re me make a concoction of ginger, garlic and lemon in hot water.

For mental health, when a person is kinda low or slightly stressed “chill bro it’ll be alright”, hardly do we stop and ask ourselves what’s the root cause of the feeling we are having.

Mental health is defined as the level of psychological well-being or an absence of mental illness. It is the state of someone who is “functioning at a satisfactory level of emotional and behavioural adjustment”.

The high rate of suicide is attributed to mental illness when someone carries an axe all the way to Eldoret, then there are a lot of questions than answers, Kenya has been ranked sixth in Africa with the most depressed people.

Such cases have led to the need for dialogue and conversation aimed at enlightening the general public on matters Mental health.
