Mount Kenya university (MKU-Kenya) in collaboration with 3 other universities namely; Kyambogo university (Uganda), university of Eldoret (Kenya) and Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu university which is based in Nigeria,will be hosting the 5th International and Interdisciplinary Conference 2018 at the Thika Campus.
The mandate if this consortium includes hosting joint conferences as a way of dissemination of research findings, conducting joint publications and undertaking various activities that promote interdisciplinary research.
This conference shall bring together, practitioners, academicians, policy makers , governmental and also non governmental organizations on a platform to discuss ways of enhancing the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)through various disciplines of study and research.
The objectives of the conference will be to:
1. promote networking between scholars and other professionals
2. provide a platform to exhibit academic innovations and products.
3. Promote collaborative and joint research in relevant and emerging thematic areas.
4. Provide an opportunity for regional and sub-regional organizations to share results of their research findings.
5. Provide a forum where members of the public, policymakers and other stakeholders can engage the scholars.
The event whose theme is Digital innovation and knowledge Economy, focusing On opportunities and Challenges towards Achieving SDGs will run from 17th to 19th October 2018.
