A prime suspect in the murder of a Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology student has been admitted to Aga khan University Hospital after stabbing himself 7 times.
The suspect was arrested at his aunt’s house where he was hiding, as the police approached he stabbed himself 7 times in the stomach and chest in an attempt to kill himself.
The 24-year-old man is under treatment and is under the heavy guard of police. He has been arrested for the murder of his 22-year-old sister, Grace Nduta Mwaura a 4th-year student at JKUAT.
Nduta’s body was hidden in the ceiling of a house in Kahawa Sukari by police from Juja Police Station, while other parts were found in a coffee plantation in Kalimoni area, Juja.
Nduta was last seen Wednesday, January 25, 2017, and her disapperance was reported to Githurai Kimbo Police Station.
Ms. Nduta’s friends had taken to social with the hashtags #FindGraceNduta and #PrayForNduta to help find her.
