According to the new students’ governance structure, there shall be an Independent Electoral Commission comprising of seven (7) members; a
Chairman, three members of staff and three students.
A student commissioner shall be appointed on application to Senate and must meet the following criteria as set out in the UNSA Constitution:
- Must be a final year student of good academic standing,
- Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
The University Senate has proposed that UNSA elections be held early in the year 2018.
This is therefore to bring to your attention that interested students who wish to serve as commissioners to submit their applications through their respective Dean/Director of
School/Faculty/Institute.
Applications should be delivered to the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, (Student Affairs) by close of business on Friday, December 15,
2017.
